Why have converted Muslims abandoned & discarded their 'own ancient (non Muslim) ancestors'?

This is really offensive and Im a converted muslim. Im not really surrounded by darkness and how could of I abondoned my ancestors. Your probbaly an anti-islam radical or something I get alot of bullshit questions like these.
