A question about animals and animal/human rights?

If on the other hand you believe the biblical account that each was created according to it's own kind, and that man was given dominion over the animals, it all makes sense. Most of the laws and value's we embrace are biblical in nature. for example laws about murder were based on the biblical condemnation of it. Evolution is a fairly new idea. when our country was founded, along with it's laws and value's, religion was a valued part of life and the bible was the respected authority.
