Is it true that NYC and California run America?

Like was said,..this is a wonderful place to live and everybody has their allegience to the piece of it they come from, but realisticlly, New York is the center of the economic state of pretty much the entire planet...when it happens in New York it effects eveyone everywhere, and that can not be denied. On 9-11 that incident had the entire world fixated on that catastrophy. It would have been news had it happened anywhere, but it was hightened by the fact that it happened to the (arguably) most signigicant building the world has ever seen. Movies are made in New York to a greater extent than people are aware of, and if you think about it the characters in the "Superhero" movies are all based in New York...Gotham, Metropolis are both synonyms for the "Big Apple" and also SpiderMan sets his mark there too...Most of the old gangster Movies have their settings in either New York or Chicago but New York is the basis for them all. Not to mention Ellis Island and it's importance to the immigrants early in this country's history. Everything has always happened in New York and for the forseeable future always will
